Introduction to Surf Fishing

by Dave on June 18, 2008

dnrecparksm1.jpgThe Delaware State Parks is offering a class on how to surf fish along the Delaware Beaches. As a longtime surf fisherman, I can attest that NOT KNOWING the rules of the beach will get you and your family buried in the sand.

Just remember that you always need the following: a shovel, tire gage, heavy duty rope, bait, fishing rod, good attitude and lastly, a friend to help you get out of any sandy jam. My personal suggestion is to get there early and be patient if a large family sets up camp next to you as they have as much right to enjoy the beach as you.

So, good luck with your beach adventure and be sure to take advantage of the free beach driving lesson this Saturday.
