The Delaware State Fair primarily is intended for Farmers, 4-H and Agricultural people to compete and show their wares for all the hard work and efforts they have done for the year. There are many, many different levels of competition from livestock to crafts from all ages. Many of the divisions have an entire building dedicated to featuring these competitions. Anyone who has been involved with 4-H, Farming, Baking, Crafting etc. takes the Delaware State Fair very serious. Infact, many of us do not even venture out into the amusement park rides. There is so much more to do at the Delaware State Fair than concerts & amusement park rides. Just ask any Fair organizer and they can give you information that will give you a whole different perspective. Check out the 4-H building to see the Talent Competition. (my son is going to perform !)
