VIDEO: Snow at the Beach

by Dave on March 3, 2009

It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen this much snow here at the Delaware Beaches, so I thought I’d venture out and capture it, especially for those out there who only see our area in the summer.

Wow! Delaware beaches are really beautiful all year round! Dewey Beach is a beautiful place that I have been lucky enough to visit! Dewey Beach is one of my favorite places in Delaware. Dewey Beach is a natural sandbar community with the Atlantic Ocean on one side of the street and a bay on the other. This area is a popular vacation destination for water sports such as skimboarding, windsurfing, and catamaran sailing. Sunsets over the bay provide a romantic atmosphere and enhance the nightlife. Located adjacent to Dewey Beach is the Delaware Seashore State Park. Here you will find a long stretch of natural beach that offers several areas for four-wheel vehicle access and surf fishing. A popular activity for vacation home owners and renters is treasure hunting on the beach with metal detectors.
