What Bad Economy?

by Dave on March 8, 2009

photoI went into Rehoboth yesterday to attend the 19th annual Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival with the kids, and arrived at the Convention Center to find a line wrapped all the way around the building and half way down the block.

Not being too keen on spending an hour in line with two kids under 6, we decided to take an early pit stop at Nicola Pizza, where we got the last available table and proceeded to watch the crowd outside waiting for tables grow by the minute.

While we were at Nicola’s, I picked up a Twitter message from Dogfish Head saying that their brewpub was full within 25 minutes of opening.

After our meal, we headed back to the Convention Center to take in some chocolate goodness, only to find that at 1pm, there was still a 50-75 person line!

Long lines, packed streets and full restaurants? Looks like the economy is turning around here at the Delaware Beaches.

Sounds just like my Saturday. We must have arrived at Nicola’s a few minutes earlier than you. Please tell your Dad and Cathy that I said Hi…it’s been a while since I’ve talked to them.

Love the site, it’s great!

Thanks Dave. We are still looking to expand our efforts in Sussex County and would like to connect with you regarding visibility on your site and/or YouTube. Let me know of any opportunities that are available. Thanks…talk to you soon.
