UNITED WAY OF DELAWARE CELEBRATES VOLUNTEERS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT THE 2009 KENT AND SUSSEX ANNUAL MEETING
LEWES, Del. (June 29, 2009) – United Way of Delaware announces the following special event:
WHAT: 2009 Kent and Sussex Counties’ Annual Meeting
WHEN: Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 9:00-10:00AM
WHERE: The Inn at Canal Square, Lewes (hosted by 2009 Kent and Sussex Campaign Chair Ted Becker of Stewart Becker Properties)
WHY: United Way of Delaware will join with its volunteers and community supporters to celebrate accomplishments from the past year and spotlight some of its upcoming initiatives. Organization leaders will announce new members to United Way of Delaware’s Board of Directors, as well as offer thanks to outgoing board members.

Bernice Edwards (Executive Director of First State Community Action Agency)
Craig Crouch (CEO of Kent-Sussex Industries)
Elder Lonnie C. Harris III (Ecclesia Family Worship Center)
Mary DuPont (Director of State Service Centers at the State of Delaware)
PHOTO OPP: The Community Impact Award will be presented to the CHEER organization in Georgetown for its dedication to providing quality United Way-funded programs that have a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors in our community.
