Restaurant Row – Ristorante Zebra

by Dave on July 4, 2009

As first seen in Coastal Sussex Weekly, June 11, 2009:

For 16 years, Ristorante Zebra has provided the finest in Italian cusine to flavor-seeking diners in Rehoboth Beach. Located on Lake Avenue across from the new Stingray, a trip to Zebra will be sure to delight you.

One notable feature of this Ristorante is the service, usually involving 3-4 people and always attentive and hospitable, led by Roberto DiMartino. Flourishes like small plates of bruschetta always add to the experience, and bartender  Bucky MacSherry is a well-known Rehoboth restaurant veteran.

Dining at Zebra is not without frustration, however. There are simply too many superb options to narrow down to any reasonable choice. Even the pasta dishes can be served in appetizer portions. Pair two and enjoy them as your meal, or opt for a larger portion.

Some of the features on the vast menu include appetizers like beef carpaccio with arugula and shaved parmesan, pasta dishes like seafood tagliatelle with scallop and shrimp, and entrees like lobster risotto.

Zebra combines great service with superb Italian cuisine, and wraps it all up in a unique indoor/outdoor atmosphere that will have you returning soon for more.
