da Corsa Photography makes fine art of man’s best friend

Admit it.

Your dog is pampered, spoiled, almost like a child or grandchild. And you’re ready to give your pup some prime real estate on your wall.

That’s where da Corsa Photography comes in.

Rob Nicholson, one of the area’s premier wedding photographers, has created da Corsa to combine two of his passions – photography and dogs – into a groundbreaking new service that provides you with an art-quality photo of your dog that brings out the canine’s real personality.

“The key is specializing,” says Nicholson. “I don’t want to be the jack-of-all-trades. I don’t want to shoot your cat or your bird. I want to shoot your dog, and I want it to be very high-end.”

Nicholson goes far beyond the typical store-bought portrait.

“Here’s my ideal photo shoot. Someone contacts me. I go to their house and meet their dog. We try to figure out the specific size print for a specific wall or room, and really cater to it. That helps me plan the shoot. If we’re doing something for a bright room, I’ll take them out on a beach. For a darker room or a basement, that will change the way I’m taking the photograph or the location or the day.”

The end result, according to Nicholson, will capture the essence of the dog.

“I want for people to look at it and say ‘That IS our dog.’”
