Restaurant Row: Catch 54

There are views and then there are views.

Catch 54 in Fenwick Island has the latter, a superb panorama of the low-lying wetlands of Little Assawoman Bay just off of Route 54 west of Fenwick Island.

It’s significant then that the view isn’t the highlight of a visit to the restaurant. The food is.

Catch 54 is part of the SoDel Concepts family of restaurants, Chef Matt Haley’s enterprise that also features Lewes’ Fish On, Rehoboth’s Lupo Di Mare, Bethany’s Bluecoast Seafood Grill and Ocean View’s Northeast Seafood Kitchen. So it comes as no surprise that the offerings at this seafood restaurant burst with freshness and feature produce and other ingredients sourced from local vendors like Clarksville’s Good Earth Market.

Starters include the crab salad sliders served with arugula and tomato, as well as the shrimp pinchos with chorizo, pepper and onion.

For the main course, choose from pan-roasted scallops, beer-battered flounder & chips, or the lobster linguini with peas, smoked bacon, pecorino and lobster/tomato cream.

Also, be sure not to miss a house favorite, the cheddar grits side dish.
