Restaurant Row: Pickled Pig Pub

by Dave on October 15, 2009

In an otherwise unassuming strip mall between Lewes and Rehoboth Beach sits one of this year’s newest restaurant offerings, the Pickled Pig Pub. Brought to you by the team from Rehoboth’s Pig + Fish restaurant, the Pickled Pig is a cozy spot in the European gastropub vein: high-quality   bistro-style food paired with great beer.

The beer selection varies from regional juggernaut Dogfish Head to California’s hop kings from Stone Brewery to local upstart 16 Mile from Georgetown. In summary, the Pickled Pig knows its beer.

The lunch menu ranges from standards like the cuban press sandwich to more unique fare like the smoked salmon blt wrap.

For dinner the Pickled Pig Pub gets adventurous, offering dishes like the Vietnamese shrimp saute, creole meatloaf and an herb roasted pork shoulder.

With parking available, good food and an amazing rotation of high quality craft beers, the Pickled Pig Pub is definitely worth a try.
