Sussex County Outgrew New Castle in 2000’s

According to newly-published Census data, Sussex County added more people from 2000-2009 than the much more populous New Castle County.

Sussex County added 36,166 (+23.1%) new people during the decade. 33,121 of that total resulted from “net migration,” or the total of people moving into the state less those who moved out.
