Grady Champion to perform at Bethany Blues-Lewes
2010 International Blues Challenge Winner raises funds for school programs

Winner of the 2010 International Blues Challenge, over 110 bands selected by local blues societies representing 39 states and 13 countries, the incredible blues singer and harmonica player Grady Champion will appear 9 p.m. Friday July 30 at Bethany Blues-Lewes in a special fundraiser to benefit Delaware Charitable Music, a 501(c)3 corporation that assists Delaware school music programs.

Grady Champion, who national reviewers favorable compare to blues great Sonny Boy Williamson, Robert Johnson and Luther Allison, represented the Mississippi Delta Blues Society of Indianola in the International competition. His high-energy performances, traditional blues laments, soulful vocalizing and insightful song writing compel his recognition as a stellar young talent of international scope.

A $10 donation to Delaware Charitable Music, Inc. is required for admission. The charitable corporation is dedicated to bringing live music to Delaware schools. Silent bidding will also be had on a signed and framed lithograph of John Coltrane by renowned artist Dane Tilghman; and on a copy of the sheet music for the American Idol theme, signed by Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest.
