Pedestrian Hit By Car, Charged With Being Drunk

From The Delaware State Police:

State Police have charged a 25 year old woman after she was struck by a vehicle early this morning in Dewey.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. this morning as the victim, Jessica K. Sachse, was walking southbound on the northbound side of Coastal Highway. The victim stumbled into the right lane where she was struck by a 1994 Lincoln Town car being operated by Douglas Hobbs of Millsboro. Sachse was transported by EMS to Beebe Memorial Hospital where she was treated for non life threatening head injuries. Sachse was charged with being drunk on a highway and failure to carry a light on a public roadway. Douglas Hobbs was not injured.
