Governor Signs Dewey Beach Charter Change

Delaware Governor Jack Markell today signed legislation amending the charter for the Town of Dewey Beach to allow the town to change the date of their election so as not to conflict with the Jewish Holy Days.

Notice is hereby given that on July 12, 2010, the Governor of the State of Delaware signed an Act amending the Charter of the Town of Dewey Beach, such act being signed was titled:

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPER 59, VOLUME 63 OF THE LAWS OF DELAWARE,

AS AMENDED, THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF DEWEY BEACH TO GRANT

THE TOWN OF DEWEY BEACH THE AUTHORITY TO CHANGE THE DATE OF

ANNUAL MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS TO PREVENT CONFLICT WITH

JEWISH HOLY DAYS

The Act is available for public review at Town Hall, 105 Rodney Avenue, Dewey Beach, DE 19971.
