Nouman Asif Joins Beebe Medical Staff

Nouman Asif, M.D.

Nouman Asif, MD, a medical oncologist/hematologist, has joined the Beebe Medical Staff and is seeing patients at Tunnell Cancer Center.

Dr. Asif earned his medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical Collage in Pakistan in 1997, completed residencies and internships in internal medicine in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and served as a medical officer in Pakistan. Dr. Asif completed a residency in internal medicine at UPMC Presbyterian/Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, and a fellowship in medical oncology/hematology at Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown.

Tunnell Cancer Center was established in 1995. It has received the Commission on Cancer’s highest accreditation with commendation as a comprehensive community cancer center, and the 2008 Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award for excellence. Tunnell Cancer Center’s clinical specialties are medical oncology/hematology and radiation oncology. About 200 patients visit the center each day.

Dr. Asif is one of more than 200 physicians affiliated with Beebe Medical Center. They represent nearly 30 different specialties. New residents are encouraged to establish a local primary care physician as soon as possible to promote continuity of their healthcare in both preventive and emergency situations.
