Dickerson Arrested; Charged With Nine Counts

Woodrow Dickerson III, wanted by police in connection with several menacing complaints from Broadkill Beach on Sunday, was apprehended by police yesterday.

Delaware State Troopers Monday August 16, 2010 received a call from a concerned citizen regarding Woodrow W. Dickerson III. Dickerson was seen on Flowers Beach located S/O Slaughter Beach but N/O Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge Milton, Delaware.

The citizen advised she observed Dickerson and knew he was wanted by the police. Dickerson then left Flowers Beach and drove to Reedcliffe Lane a dead end road S/O Prime Hook Road.

When Troopers arrived they observed Dickerson’s green Chevrolet Blazer parked on Reedcliffe Lane. Troopers approached the vehicle and Dickerson then exited and fled into a nearby wooded area. State Police K-9 Turbo tracked Dickerson from his vehicle back to Coastal Highway were the scent was lost.

Tuesday August 17, 2010 Dickerson was apprehended. Details of this apprehension are not readily available however he was arrested for the above listed offenses and remanded to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $35,500 secured bond.
