Music School of Del. Announces New Programs for Downstate Locations

The Music School of Delaware, the state’s only nationally accredited community music school, is now enrolling children, teens and adults of all music levels for the 2010-2011 academic year beginning in September. The Music School of Delaware offers standard-setting instructional programs at statewide locations in Milford, Dover, Felton, Angola/Long Neck, Seaford, Wilmington, Pike Creek and Middletown.

The Music School offers private lessons, individual coaching, Early Childhood classes, Suzuki Academy program and classes for adults at its downstate locations. New for this year are Class Piano for adults with expanded beginner levels; Class Piano for children ages 7 to 9; and expanded Suzuki Academy faculty at the Milford branch. Spaces are available for new violin students in the regionally recognized Suzuki Academy program.

The Milford Branch welcomes new guitar faculty Nathan Ames and Early Childhood faculty Karen Deneau. Ames is now accepting guitar and bass students, spaces are limited. Deneau will teach Kindermusik® classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Music School of Delaware also offers instrumental and vocal ensembles from chamber groups to large ensembles for children, teens and adults at every level. New for this year are downstate youth orchestras. Interested participants should call 302-422-2043 for more information.
