Downtown Rehoboth Seeks Holiday Tree

by Dave on September 8, 2010

The City of Rehoboth Beach, in cooperation with Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Inc., is looking for a 35-40-foot evergreen tree for its annual holiday display at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand.

Anyone wishing to donate a tree should call 302-227-2772. The City will arrange to have the tree taken down and transported to the bandstand area. It’s a grand Rehoboth tradition and many imposing trees have been donated to the City over the years. Is yours the perfect specimen? Call 227-2772 and we’ll come take a look!

Rehoboth Beach will decorate and display the tree and present the Holiday Tree Lighting on the Friday after Thanksgiving, at the Bandstand on Rehoboth Avenue. It’s a festive night in downtown Rehoboth Beach. And it all starts with the right tree!

To donate towards increasing the amount of lights on the downtown Rehoboth Beach’s holiday tree, please send a contribution to RB Holiday Lights, Rehoboth Beach Main Street, PO Box 50, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.

For more information call 227-2772.
