PPP: Rehoboth’s Urquhart Leads GOP Congressional Primary

by Dave on September 13, 2010

Public Policy Polling, a North Carolina-based professional polling firm, released late Sunday night the results of their Delaware GOP primary polling in advance of Tuesday’s vote. Polling revealed that Rehoboth Beach businessman Glen Urquhart will head into the election as the frontrunner, leading Greenville Republican Michele Rollins 50% to 38%.

“This confirms that the people are fed up with the political establishment, which is piling up debt and destroying jobs,” said Urquhart communications director David Anderson. “We are humbled and encouraged by these poll numbers, but we know the only poll that counts is Tuesday. These numbers will energize our supporters and we will be redoubling our efforts to bring out our vote.”

Other stunning news from the PPP poll put longtime Congressman and Governor Mike Castle in a dead heat with challenger Christine O’Donnell.
