Milton Man Facing Burglary, Assault Charges

Delaware State Police early Sunday September 12, 2010 responded to the 37000 block of Burton Village Avenue Rehoboth Delaware for a domestic disturbance.

State Police arrived to Burton Village shortly after 9:00 a.m. State police during their investigation learned that Travoris A. Brittingham of Milton arrived to the residence to pick up his daughter the 3 year old victim.

Brittingham is alleged to have engaged in a verbal confrontation with a 21 year old woman of Rehoboth. Brittingham and the victim have a child together. Brittingham picked up his daughter and went to his car to leave; however remained sitting in the driveway 10 minutes for an unknown reason.

Brittingham then exited his car and again knocked on the 21 year old woman’s door. As the victim began to open the door Brittingham pushed it open which resulted in the victim and a 4 month old child falling to the ground. The victim then curled into a fetal position along with her child tucked between her legs as Brittingham punched her a number of times.

Brittingham fled the residence in his vehicle however was located a short time later and taken into custody. Brittingham was charged with Burglary and related assault charges. Brittingham was incarcerated in lieu of $8,600.00 cash bond.
