Six Dewey Beach Mayors Endorse Kelly Ranieri in Sept. 25 Election

by Dave on September 14, 2010

Dewey Beach Mayor Rick Solloway has joined with five former Mayors and six former Commissioners to endorse Kelly Ranieri in the upcoming September 25th town election. This comes on the heels of the endorsements of candidates Marty Seitz and Jim Laird by Commissioners Diane Hanson and Marc Appelbaum and by the political arm of the group Citizens to Preserve Dewey.

Here is the endorsement letter for Ranieri:

Dewey Beach Neighbor,

· What does the first Mayor of Dewey Beach think?

· What does the first female Mayor of Dewey Beach think?

· What does the current Mayor of Dewey Beach think?

· What does the longest serving Mayor of Dewey Beach think?

· What does one of the Founding Fathers of the 35 Foot Height Limit think?

· What does 61 years worth of Dewey Beach Commissioner experience think?

· What does 24 years worth of Dewey Beach Mayoral experience think?

Please allow us a few more minutes of your time to share with you the answers to these questions.

There have been 145 years of commissioner experience in the 29 years of Dewey Beach’s history, with 5 commissioners serving at a time. There have been 29 years of mayoral experience. Twelve commissioners who have tallied nearly 50% of those years and six Mayors who have tallied nearly 86% of those 29 years agree that we are in a very important election year and that we would like to encourage you to please cast one vote on September 25th, 2010 for Kelly Ranieri.

Kelly is running the only independent campaign this year that is not being backed by a political action committee. She is the only year round resident running, allowing her to be available on a daily basis to the needs of town hall and Dewey Beach property owners. Kelly is a dynamic leader and careful decision-maker. Her natural leadership and ability to listen and respond with a reasoned and responsible voice will allow her to provide effective solutions for our town. We believe Kelly’s 15 year educational career is exactly what Dewey Beach needs. Being nominated and voted by your peers as one of the top 20 teachers out of 9,000 in Delaware speaks volumes to us about the character, toughness and high level of professionalism that she brings to Dewey Beach. Kelly’s expertise in teaching and communication skills is desperately needed for our town.

* Please cast one vote on September 25th, 2010 for KELLY RANIERI *
