Sunday September 12, 2010 a Delaware State Trooper on routine patrol observed a Pontiac Grand Prix along the side of the road. The vehicle appeared to be disabled so the Trooper stopped to check on its occupants.

As the Trooper approached to check on the occupants he observed the driver had a stun gun in his hand. The driver Jevon J. Smith attempted to hide the stun gun at which time the trooper ordered him out of the car.

As the Trooper kept a watchful eye on the passenger William M. Jones III-21 of Lincoln he observed Jones take possession of the stun gun and also attempted to hide it.

The State Trooper searched the vehicle and located a small quantity of marijuana, scales, plastic baggies, a glass and plastic pipe, BB gun and a black ski mask.

Smith and Jones were taken into custody and arrested for the above listed charges. Smith and Jones were released each on $6,000 unsecured bond.
