Minnick takes over as Vice President of Patient Care Services at Beebe Medical Center

Beebe Medical Center announces that Paul Minnick, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, has been appointed Vice President of Patient Care Services. Paul joined Beebe Medical Center from Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, New Jersey, where he served as the Vice President of Patient Care.

At Beebe Medical Center, Mr. Minnick is responsible for the hospital’s nursing units and for developing and implementing nursing strategy and system policies to ensure quality patient care. He is a member of the Executive Staff and reports to Thomas K. Steiner, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Beebe Medical Center.

Mr. Minnick previously held management positions at Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania Health System, where he also served as Assistant Dean of Clinical Practice at the School of Nursing. He has experience as a staff nurse and nurse coordinator at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He brings to Beebe Medical Center experiences in process improvement in the areas of Six Sigma and Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. In addition, he has shepherded his staffs into a shared governance practice model, considered within national professional healthcare circles as a model that improves the quality and safety of care.

Mr. Minnick has roots in Delaware and in Lewes. He is a University of Delaware graduate, as well as a holder of the prestigious Johnson & Johnson Wharton Nurse Fellowship from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of several professional healthcare organizations, including the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
