Two Arrested for Burglaries 2 Days in a Row

On Monday, Delaware State Police arrested Will B. Showard, 32, and Kalijah L. Dukes, 29, of E. Morris Lane in Millsboro for a burglary to a shed which occurred on September 16 and 17 of this year.

Police took a burglary report for an incident which occurred on the 16th of September. In this burglary the victim’s shed door had been kicked in and damaged. The suspects during the burglary removed several firearms, handcart, flashlight and a duffle bag.

Police then took a second burglary report for a burglary which occurred on the 17th of September. During the second burglary the suspects removed 2oo foot of copper welding wires and a Generac generator.

Both burglaries occurred to the same shed on two different days. During the course of the investigation, police were able to link Showard and Duke to the burglaries. On Monday police obtained a search and seizure warrant for the E. Morris Lane address were Showard and Dukes reside and recovered a .22 rifle and duffel bag described as being stolen during the burglary investigation.

Showard and Dukes have been arrested on the above listed charged and placed into Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $35,000 secured bond. Delaware State Police is continuing their investigation and expect Showard and Dukes to be arrested on additional charges related to other burglaries.
