Welcome to CoastalSussex.com. Here you can find timely information and fascinating stories about the Delaware Beaches, an area business directory and much more.

This is the home of Coastal Sussex Weekly, our innovative digital magazine delivered by email to 20,000 people every Thursday. The magazine is designed to be read on a computer screen, and is only available online. Each issue contains local stories, clickable advertising, great photography, a weekly events calendar and more. Free subscriptions are available via the form in the sidebar of this page.

CoastalSussex.com is also the home of the Coastal Sussex Morning News, a daily news digest sent via email. The Morning News includes local and national headlines, local events and weather, and more.

Here is our organization’s mission statement:

Coastal Sussex is dedicated to the communities of the Delaware Beaches, as I am personally, because I believe wholeheartedly that this is the best place on Earth, and that strengthening our ethic of community is the best way to preserve that. This is way more to me than just a business.

I aim to promote the best stories, businesses and culture of the beach area, as a service to both full-time residents and to the visitors who come here year after year.

I believe in sustainability — in our local food, in our local economy, in our natural world and in our families — and aim to promote that ethic as well.

I believe wholeheartedly in supporting locally-owned, independent small businesses, and as such have a policy to only accept advertising from locally-owned businesses.

Also, I admit freely that our magazine has to date been imbalanced toward the northern beaches of Lewes, Rehoboth & Dewey. I am actively working on a solution that will rectify the imbalance that I’m confident will redeem us in the eyes of the Quiet Resorts.

I will undoubtedly stumble and fail at points along the way, but I give you my word that I will try as hard as I can to honor the ethics put forth in this statement.

And I will always remember that this magazine would not be possible without our writers, our sponsors and most of all, each of you who click and read every week. I invite you to contact me any time with any comments, questions or concerns you have.
