Saturday Education Trips

Looking to stay away from the beach traffic of Lewes and Rehoboth but still longing for an outdoor adventure?  Check out Bombay Hook National Refuge….Bombay Hook National Refuge, located in Smyrna, DE, was established in 1937 and is an amazing place to view migratory birds and wildlife.  It is a great place for children to learn about the outdoors, specifically wildlife and habitat conservation.  Covering 16,000 acres there is something for everyone.  The refuge promotes kayaking, bird watching, and even hosts art shows!  So, if you are driving south from New Castle, pull over in Smyrna and spend some time at one Delaware’s eco-friendly parks, Bombay Hook.

For more information on educational programs contact Tina Watson, the outdoor recreation planner, at (302) 653-6872.
