Coastal Sussex Weekly

by Dave on February 6, 2009

Dear Friends,

I am proud to announce the upcoming launch of Coastal Sussex Weekly, a full-color E-magazine highlighting the best of the Delaware beaches and delivered exclusively by email.

It is an expansion of our efforts at, and we can’t wait to get started. There will be in-depth feature writing, event calendars, contests, restaurant profiles, interviews with beach celebrities and more. Some of the topics we’ll get into in the first few weeks are:

• Dogfish Head and Beer Wars
• Is the real estate market ready to rebound?
• Faith at the Beach
• Preview of New Businesses for Summer 2009

And we plan to give away a free 2-night Beach Weekend in the first month!

Coastal Sussex Weekly is, and will remain, completely free. Besides your weekly magazine email on Thursday and an occasional reader survey to help us refine the magazine, you will receive no email from us. We will ask nothing else from you but to enjoy the magazine.

Right now, I am humbly asking you to give me your permission to send the free weekly magazine email to you. All you have to do is go to the bottom of the page and fill out the subscription form. Even after opting in, you will be able to opt-out on every email you receive.

I also invite you to share this link with friends, family and anyone else you feel might want to receive the magazine free every week. Invite them to come to and subscribe.

The first edition of the magazine will be delivered in April. I invite you to comment at any time by contacting me directly. My personal email address and the Twitter feed for the magazine are listed below.

Please give us an opportunity to bring you the best of the Delaware Beaches every week by filling out this form.

Just got the first issue. Love the concept. Sharp design.

I’m viewing it with Firefox 3.08. Is there any way I can blow up the text?

Or perhaps access the stories in more readable format?

Rick – Yes. Almost every spot on every page should have the option to click to zoom. Unfortunately, the software REALLY blows it up. Working on that.

Also, some spots aren’t clickable because I made the entire page (full page ads, etc) into hotspots. I won’t do that again.

Thanks for your feedback!
