MOSAIC Second Saturday Art Walk Today

MOSAIC, the collective of art galleries in Rehoboth Beach, is hosting their “Second Saturdays Destination Art Walk” today from 2-5pm.

Please join all of the galleries of MOSAIC on the second Saturday of EVERY month for “DESTINATION ART”! Walk around Rehoboth and visit each member’s gallery for a reception from 2pm to 5pm. Features for each Second Saturday and other galleries’ highlights are listed below.

MARCH 2009

AerieArt Gallery – Specializing in fine original paintings from the 19th and early 20th centuries, along with offerings by local artists, including Jack Lewis, Howard Schroeder, Denise Dumont, Victor Letonoff, Lesley McCaskill and Karin Snoots. 45 1/2 Lake Ave., fronting on Third Street, 227-5376, and 70 Rehoboth Ave., First Street Station, second level, 227-4776. Amandeline Gallery – Featuring original oils by Russian artist Natalya Romanovsky. Enjoy her bold and playful floral still lifes to welcome spring. Detail Gallery – Featuring the artwork of Two Little Fruits during the March “Destination Art” Walk. Artists Derek Cadena and Brent Rodgers mix contemporary pop urban art with retro mid-century flair, bringing a fresh and funky approach to iconic images, figures, and MOD themes of the 1940’s, 50’s, 60’s, and beyond. Gallery 50 – Displaying a selection of works by all represented artists. These will include new works by Russell Richards and Gloria Cesal. Also on display is affordable jewelry by D.C. artist Paul Kerkhoven, glass by Baltimore artist Anthony Corradetti and ceramics by Charlottesville, VA artist Robert Bricker. 50-A Wilmington Ave, 227-2050.

Kennedy Gallery – hosts ceramic artist, Carmela Coleman. Carmela is a Rehoboth-based potter, well known for her beautiful collection of dinner and bakeware, tabletop and fanciful specialty pieces. Come meet Carmela and enjoy the “Destination Art” walk, Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 pm. 140 Rehoboth Ave, 227-3903.

Philip Morton Gallery – Offering an eclectic collection of original art in paintings, sculptures, glass and ceramics from artists around the globe. INVENTORY REDUCTION SALE, all stock is 15-60% OFF.
