Restaurant Row — RyBread’s

Sometimes when opportunity knocks, a business just has to open the door.

After building a strong following as the Corner Market Bistro, and in the wake of Kindle’s decision to leave Milton’s Paynter’s Mill, Ryan Blakeman decided to try and capture the dinner market by rebranding his bistro as Ry-bread’s and expanding his offerings to the dinner hour instead of breakfast.

Gone is the breakfast menu, the pastries and the coffee. In its place is an expanded sandwich menu and an ever-changing specials list that features comfort food prepared with fresh ingredients and great skill.

Rarely is a bistro’s burger the highlight of the menu, but I would put Ry-bread’s burger up against any burger in the area. (And unfortunately for my waistline, I’ve had ‘em all.)

On top of the burger and sandwich menu, Ry-bread’s offers some great platters (brisket, crab cake, ribs, etc.) that are all pleasing in their own right.

Comfort food, pleasant atmosphere and parking make a great combo.
