Now Appearing

Coastal Sussex Weekly is pleased to be adding a weekly arts column to its lineup and I am thrilled to help them bring it to you.

“Who am I?”, you ask.  I have been a fan of the arts since I popped into the world screaming a perfect high-C.  I have been trying to learn the acoustic guitar for over 30 years and I am still trying. I have performed on Broadway (much to the amusement of the other NYC pedestrians).  I collect original art and display it proudly in my home. My life is an independent film.

But seriously …After my brilliant high school and college performing arts careers, I spent 12 years in Washington, DC where I was on the boards of the Woolly Mammoth and the Tony Award winning Signature Theater and also served as a nominator for the Helen Hayes awards.  Since moving to Sussex County in 2002, I have performed with local companies and watched the arts community grow.

Recently, I started the Coastal Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization to promote the arts and arts education in Coastal Sussex.  As part of its initial mission, I will be writing, twittering, blogging, and facebooking feature articles about local arts organizations and publishing their schedules.  This column for Coastal Sussex Weekly will include a feature on some aspect of the local arts scene followed by a schedule of events under “Now Appearing”.

So, I hope that I have your attention; here are some questions for you.  What is your favorite theatre company, performance group, gallery, museum, or venue? Who would you like to hear more about? Arts promoters please send me your announcements and schedules. Contact me at  I look forward to taking this exciting journey with you.
