Restaurant Row: Jake’s Seafood

by Dave on October 15, 2009

Sometimes simpler is better. That seems to be the ideal at Jake’s Seafood House in Rehoboth, where the main ingredient – fresh seafood – does the talking. The result is big flavor and satisfied customers in two convenient locations.

For 21 years, Jake’s has delivered the quintessential seafood meal to locals and visitors at their location on the corner of Baltimore Avenue & First Street in Rehoboth Beach, and then in 2003 at their second location, on Coastal Highway north of Rehoboth.

The highlight of the menu is Jake’s award-winning crab cake, a secret family recipe that dates back over 75 years to the original Jake’s Seafood in Baltimore, opened by owner Bill Klemkowski’s grandfather, Jake Schneider.

Also on the menu you can find a variety of fresh fish: rockfish, mahi mahi, salmon & more. Shellfish abound as well, with steamers, mussels, lobster and soft shell crabs all appearing on the menu.

So if simple, fresh seafood is your idea of a great beach meal, you can’t do much better than Jake’s Seafood House.
