In $3.3 billion budget, cuts end up cut out (News Journal)

The state’s $3.3 billion budget and $408.9 million bond bill don’t contain the obvious pork that drew criticism in the past: golf courses, marinas or french fry machines. (MORE)

JFC reduces nonprofit grants (Delaware Online)

A $35.2 million grant-in-aid bill with a 10 percent across-the-board cut for many nonprofit agencies was hammered out Monday by the Joint Finance Committee. (MORE)

A Georgetown Delaware man has been murdered in Salisbury. It happened around midnight in the area of West Main Street and Catherine Street where according to police, Jackie Dwayne Hopkins was approached by two black men while getting into his vehicle. (MORE)
